The Atlanta Dream beat the Golden State Valkyries 97-71 in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Wednesday night to take a 2-1 series lead, according to CBS Sports and Yahoo Sports. The Dream are two wins from the first title in team history.

The game drew a sold-out crowd at State Farm Arena, the Atlanta Hawks' home, Yahoo Sports reported. The series was moved there last week from the 3,500-seat Gateway Center, where the Dream usually play, to meet demand from fans.

Atlanta held Golden State scoreless for the first five minutes and jumped out to a 9-1 lead, CBS Sports reported. The Valkyries cut the gap to six by halftime and tied the game early in the third quarter. The Dream then pulled away. They closed the quarter on a 22-8 run, Yahoo Sports reported, and took a 14-point lead into the fourth.

Angel Reese had 21 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals, CBS Sports reported. Yahoo Sports said she is the youngest player in WNBA history with double-doubles in three straight Finals games. Rhyne Howard added 16 points, Naz Hillmon scored 15 and Isobel Borlase had 12, CBS Sports reported.

Howard also had five steals, Yahoo Sports reported. That made her the first player in Finals history with at least five steals in back-to-back games, it said.

"We fought for this arena, so we have to protect it," Howard said on the court after the win, according to Yahoo Sports. "We went and stole one, but we couldn't let them come in and do the same thing."

Golden State made 24 of 69 shots, or 35%, and turned the ball over 15 times, which led to 22 Atlanta points, CBS Sports reported.

It was the Dream's first Finals win on their home court, Yahoo Sports reported. Atlanta is in its fourth Finals since joining the league in 2008. The Valkyries are in their second season and their first Finals.

Game 4 is Saturday, CBS Sports reported. Yahoo Sports said the series will return to the Bay Area for at least Game 5 next week, no matter what happens Saturday.

What we know: Atlanta won Game 3 by 26 points and leads the series 2-1.
What we don't: Whether Golden State can even the series on Saturday.
