Isaiah Boling, 20, was one of four people shot dead in Deep Ellum in Dallas early Sunday, The Dallas Morning News reports. It cites Dallas police and medical examiner records. CBS News Texas also names him.

The paper also identifies the other three people killed: Kaniesa Scott, 21, Unique Elise Benjamin, 28, and Anthony Tyrone Martin, 25.

Boling was shot in the 2600 block of Elm Street shortly after midnight, the paper reports, citing a police incident report. An unknown person shot him and three other men nearby and then fled, the report says.

Fifteen other people were hurt in three separate shootings that night, CBS News Texas and The Dallas Morning News report.

Boling's family lives in Mansfield, and his family knew him as Zay, CBS News Texas reports. He leaves a 1-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son, the station says.

His family says a group of men grabbed his sister near Elm Street, CBS News Texas reports. There was an argument, and he was shot twice, his family says. Police have not confirmed that account.

“He was someone with a future. He was a protector and he died doing that,” his mother said, CBS News Texas reports.

Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said police had no information that the three shootings were linked, The Dallas Morning News reports.

A man was arrested at the scene for pointing a loaded handgun toward a crowd, the paper reports. He is not charged in the shootings. As of Tuesday, police had not confirmed any arrests in the shootings, the paper says.

What we know: All four people killed have been identified, The Dallas Morning News reports.
