Brady Tkachuk scored three straight goals, the last in overtime, to give the Florida Panthers a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night in Sunrise, Florida, The Associated Press and The Hockey News reported.

It was his second straight natural hat trick, the outlets said. Tkachuk also scored three straight goals in the second period of Florida's 7-3 win at Columbus on Tuesday, AP reported.

Vancouver led 2-0 after the first period. Liam Ohgren scored at 7:23 after a Florida turnover, and defenseman Elias Pettersson scored with 2:54 left in the period, AP reported. Florida outshot Vancouver 15-7 in the first period, The Hockey News said.

Tkachuk started the comeback with 8:49 left in the third, firing a shot from the top of the right circle past goalie Leevi Merilainen, AP reported. The NHL's official game summary credits Aaron Ekblad and Matthew Tkachuk, Brady's older brother, with assists on that goal.

With goalie Akira Schmid pulled for an extra attacker, Tkachuk tied the game with 13 seconds left in regulation on a one-timer from the right faceoff circle, AP reported. He then won it with "a nifty move up the middle" in overtime, AP wrote. The NHL summary lists the winner at 2:23 of overtime, with assists from Seth Jones and Sam Reinhart.

Merilainen made 36 saves, and Schmid stopped 15 shots, AP reported. The Canucks have lost six straight games, AP said.

The Hockey News said Tkachuk is the third Panthers player with back-to-back hat tricks, after Noel Acciari in December 2019 and Pavel Bure in February 2001. After going without a point in his first five games, he has six goals and eight points in three games this week, The Hockey News reported. Matthew Tkachuk's assist extended his point streak to seven games, the outlet said.

Before the game, Vancouver traded Aatu Raty to Toronto for forwards Jacob Quillan and Brandon Buhr, AP reported. Florida hosts the Seattle Kraken on Saturday, The Hockey News said.

What we know: Tkachuk scored all three Florida goals, including the overtime winner, for his second straight natural hat trick.
What we don't: The outlets did not include postgame comments from Tkachuk or Panthers coach Paul Maurice.
