Amazon's Prime Video released the official trailer for "The Greatest," the first authorized scripted series about the life of Muhammad Ali, BroadwayWorld reported. All episodes will be released on Nov. 4 in more than 240 countries and territories.

Newcomer Jaalen Best plays Ali, who was born Cassius Clay, BroadwayWorld said. The trailer follows the young boxer through the personal, professional and political fights he faced inside and outside the ring.

The series shows how a young man from Louisville, Kentucky, turned himself into Muhammad Ali, "the greatest of all time," BroadwayWorld reported.

The cast includes Omari Hardwick as Ali's father, Dana Gourrier as his mother and Kai Parham as his brother Rudy, the outlet said. Amin Joseph plays boxer Sonny Liston, Giovanni Ribisi plays trainer Angelo Dundee and Michael Ealy plays Malcolm X.

Lonnie Ali, the late boxer's widow, is an executive producer, both outlets reported. That is why the show is billed as the first authorized scripted series about his life.

Ben Watkins created the series and runs it, Deadline reported. Michael B. Jordan's company, Outlier Society, is also a producer, along with Roc Nation and others, the outlet said.

Prime Video first set the Nov. 4 date in July, during a panel at the Essence Festival of Culture, Deadline reported. It also showed a short teaser at the time.

The limited series has eight episodes, Deadline said. It covers defining moments in Ali's life and career, in and out of the ring.

Ali was one of the most famous athletes in the world. He won the heavyweight title three times and was known for his outspoken views on race, religion and the Vietnam War. He died in 2016.

What we know: "The Greatest" stars Jaalen Best as Ali and streams on Prime Video starting Nov. 4.
What we don't: Whether the series will get more seasons.
