Marvel's "VisionQuest" premiered on Disney+ on Tuesday night with its first two episodes, Decider reported. The eight-episode series will release new episodes weekly through Nov. 10.

The show ends the trilogy that began with "WandaVision" in 2021 and continued with "Agatha All Along." Paul Bettany returns as Vision, who is living quietly as a bartender in Edinburgh, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Inside his digital mind, he keeps several AIs, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., played by Orla Brady, and Ultron, played by James Spader.

The story turns when a bounty hunter called Paladin, played by Todd Stashwick, is hired to capture Vision. Vision ends up on the run with Thomas, a young grifter who is the reincarnation of his son with Wanda, The Hollywood Reporter reported. The series comes from showrunner Terry Matalas.

Other cast members include Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy, T'Nia Miller as Jocasta, an android driven by revenge, and Lauren Morais as Tommy's partner in crime, Decider reported.

The Hollywood Reporter's review was mixed. It said Bettany's performance "mines new layers" and that Spader is put to better use than in his 2015 Avengers debut. But it said the show spends too much time on "trips down memory lane." It added that the show "too often retreats within itself." The review said the story picks up a plot thread that is now 11 years old, so even longtime fans may want a refresher.

New episodes arrive on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, with two episodes on some nights, Decider reported. The finale, "Forever," is set for Nov. 10.
