Apple TV has released the trailer for the second season of Stick, its comedy set in the world of golf. The 10-episode season premieres Wednesday, November 4, with two episodes. New episodes then arrive weekly until December 30, Apple said.

Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, a former pro golfer whose career fell apart 20 years ago. In season 1, after his marriage ended and he lost his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, he bet his future on a troubled 17-year-old golf star named Santi, played by Peter Dager.

In season 2, Santi moves closer to pro golf and learns how fast the game changes once people expect him to win. Pryce, meanwhile, decides to bet on himself. Pushed by his old rival Clark Ross, played by Timothy Olyphant, he launches a comeback to become the oldest golfer ever to win a major. The road back is much harder than he expects.

Rhea Seehorn, who has won an Emmy and a Golden Globe, plays Amanda, a new coach helping Pryce, iClarified reported. Marc Maron returns as his caddie, Mitts. Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay and Judy Greer also return.

Other new faces include John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle. Broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman are back as guests, BroadwayWorld reported.

Jason Keller created the show and runs it. Wilson is an executive producer. Apple renewed the show on the same day as the season 1 finale, Collider noted. The first season premiered in June of last year.

Collider also framed Stick as a possible heir to Ted Lasso, another Apple sports comedy. Ted Lasso's future is uncertain after its season 4 finale this week.

What we know: Stick returns November 4 on Apple TV with a 10-episode season.

What we don't: Whether Apple plans more seasons beyond this one.
