If your backyard swing has a yellow plastic-coated chain and a PACEARTH logo, it may be part of a recall.

Pacearth Direct, of City of Industry, California, is recalling about 110,550 PACEARTH U-type swing seats, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said. The seats, the metal carabiners or quick links, or the yellow webbing straps can break while a child or adult is swinging, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall.

The company has received at least 30 reports of falls. Those led to at least nine injuries, including fractures, head injuries and bruising, according to the CPSC and Scripps News.

The swings were sold on Amazon from May 2017 through June 2026 for between $27 and $57, the CPSC said. Scripps News reported that more than 100,000 of the seats were sold through Amazon. They came in several colors, including green, blue, pink, red and turquoise. Each came with carabiners or quick links and straps to hang the seat from a swing set or a tree branch. They were sold alone or in packs of two.

The CPSC says owners should stop using the recalled swing seats right away and contact Pacearth Direct for a full refund.

To get the refund, owners will be asked to write "RECALLED" on the swing seat in permanent marker. Then they take a photo showing the word and the PACEARTH logo and email it to recall@pacearth.com.

The CPSC also notes that federal law bars anyone from selling a product that is under a recall, whether the recall was ordered by the agency or done voluntarily in consultation with it.

Shoppers can check the CPSC website for recall details and report a dangerous product or injury at SaferProducts.gov.
