The Guardians are still alive, and their series with the White Sox is going the distance.

Cleveland won Game 4 in Chicago 9-5 on Thursday to even the AL Division Series at 2-2. Game 5 is Saturday at 8 p.m. ET at Progressive Field, on TBS and truTV, USA Today and MLB.com reported. The winner faces the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Championship Series, which MLB.com said starts Monday.

The Guardians fell behind early. Patrick Bailey, sent in as a pinch hitter, hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. José Ramírez followed with a two-run homer that put Cleveland up 3-2, USA Today reported. Chicago answered to take a 4-3 lead. Then Cleveland scored six runs in the sixth. Travis Bazzana tied it with an RBI double, and Jo Adell drove in two.

Ramírez has turned the series around. He went 0-for-6 to start, then went 4-for-9 with five RBIs over the next two games, MLB.com reported. Cleveland drew 16 walks in Games 3 and 4, Sports Illustrated reported.

Pitching is the big question for Saturday. Cleveland used eight pitchers in Game 4 after starter Parker Messick left early. Gavin Williams, a potential Game 5 starter, got the last three outs instead. "Whatever they need me to do, I'll do it," Williams said. The White Sox plan to lean on Sean Burke, who allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings against Cleveland in Game 2.

How this fits: The White Sox won the first two games of the series in Cleveland. The last team to rally from 0-2 to win a best-of-five series was the 2017 Yankees, against Cleveland, MLB.com noted. The Guardians have not won a World Series since 1948, the longest active drought in baseball.

The two AL Central rivals met 13 times in the regular season. Seven of those games were decided by one run.

What we know: Game 5 is Saturday night in Cleveland, and the winner plays the Rays.
What we don't: Who will start for either team.
