Shane Gillis hosts SNL for third time, with Rosalía as guest
Comedian Shane Gillis will host Saturday Night Live this weekend for the third time, NBC said. Spanish singer Rosalía is the musical guest. The episode airs live Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
Shane Gillis is back in Studio 8H. The comedian will host Saturday Night Live on Oct. 10, his third time as host, NBC said. Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía is the musical guest. The listing site On Late Night also shows the pair for Saturday's show.
Gillis first hosted on Feb. 24, 2024, and returned on March 1, 2025. Both times he opened with a stand-up monologue. He also starred in well-known sketches such as "CouplaBeers" and "HR Meeting," NBC said.
Gillis has had a big year. He stars in the comedy series Tires, which released its third season in August. In July, his show at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field set two Guinness World Records, NBC said. One was for the largest audience for a comedian, at 73,946. The other was for the most tickets sold for a comedy show by a solo comedian, at 77,047. He also hosted the 2025 ESPYs and the 2026 Roast of Kevin Hart.
Rosalía is a returning guest too. She first appeared as musical guest in March 2022. Her 2025 album Lux made her the first artist to reach No. 1 on five Billboard album charts at the same time, NBC said. She has won two Grammys and 11 Latin Grammys.
This is the third episode of Season 52. Dakota Johnson hosted last week, with the band Turnstile.
The show airs live at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
What we know: Gillis hosts and Rosalía performs on Saturday's live episode.
What we don't: What songs Rosalía will perform and which sketches will air.
Where outlets agree NBC and On Late Night both list Shane Gillis as host and Rosalía as musical guest for the Oct. 10 episode.
Where they differ NBC's musical guest page says Rosalía first appeared in 2022, but it also notes she performed on the show in 2021 as a duet partner for Bad Bunny.
