Trump reacted to the results for the first time on Tuesday night as a blue wave began to take shape, Axios reports.

“I wasn't on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he wrote on Truth Social, Axios reports.

In a separate post, Trump said he was he would become a “Political Pundit” on why candidates won and lost, Axios says.

Trump also claimed without evidence that Fox News bears responsibility for the losses by constantly putting Democrats on the air, Axios reports. The president wrote the posts before major races were called, Axios says.

Trump said he will accept the results, shutting down, for now, questions about whether he would challenge the outcome, CNN reports. “I am absolutely willing to accept those results,” he said in an interview with The New York Times, CNN says.

“We'll work with the Democrats, and we'll, you know, look forward to working with them,” Trump said, according to Axios.

Democrats flipped several Republican-held Senate seats, with wins by James Talarico in Texas, Annie Andrews in South Carolina, Sherrod Brown in Ohio and Roy Cooper in North Carolina, Axios reports. Democrats also flipped the governor's offices in Georgia, Texas and Iowa, Axios says.

What we know: Trump says Republicans lost because he was not on the ballot, and he says he will accept the results.
