Bill Hader will make a guest appearance later this season on "Abbott Elementary," the ABC comedy created by Quinta Brunson, according to Variety. Hader shared the news on Monday night's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Details are under wraps, Variety reports. It is not yet known who Hader will play or when his episode will air.

Hader and Brunson are voice stars of the new animated film "The Cat in the Hat," which opens on November 6. Hader was on the Kimmel show to promote the film, Variety reports. He voices the main character. The cast also includes Bowen Yang, Xochitl Gomez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Matt Berry and Paula Pell.

Hader is best known for creating, directing, writing and starring in the HBO series "Barry," Variety notes. The show ran from 2019 to 2023 and earned him two Emmys for best lead actor in a comedy. He also spent eight seasons on "Saturday Night Live," from 2005 to 2013. He co-created "Documentary Now!" as well.

Most recently, Hader played Abraham Lincoln opposite Larry David in this year's "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness," Variety reports. His films include "The Skeleton Twins," "Trainwreck" and "It Chapter Two." His voice work includes the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" films, "Inside Out" and "Toy Story 4."

"Abbott Elementary" airs on Wednesday nights on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.
