Stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi attended the world premiere of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to The Indian Express and India Today. Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra joined the cast for an invite-only 3D screening at the David Geffen Theatre at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, India Today reported.

Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, and Yash plays Ravana in the myth film. Fans gathered for the red carpet. Videos showed a packed hall, both outlets said. Yash appeared with his wife, former actor Radhika Pandit. Kapoor wore a textured ivory jacket with black trousers, The Indian Express said, while Sai Pallavi wore a saree and Yash wore black with a gold brooch. India Today described Kapoor in a silver bandhgala and Sai Pallavi in a red embroidered saree.

At the event, Yash said he was proud to be Indian and Kannadiga and that where you come from will never stop how far you can go, The Indian Express reported. Fans chanted for Yash and called out for Kapoor as the cast posed and took photos.

The film is set for theatrical release on November 5, The Indian Express said. The premiere offered the first public look at the epic ahead of that date. International media and celebrities were among those invited, India Today said. Outlets framed the Los Angeles stop as a global launch for a large-scale Indian studio film that has already drawn heavy advance booking talk at home.

What we know: The Ramayana cast premiered the film Tuesday at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles ahead of a November 5 release.
What we don't: Opening-weekend box office targets beyond early booking chatter, and reviews from the invite-only screening.
