Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie is in talks to play a villain opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel's Ghost Rider film, according to Variety and Entertainment Weekly. Variety said Storrie is in talks for the villain role. EW said it can confirm he is circling an undisclosed villain part. Marvel declined to comment to EW.

Shawn Levy is directing from a script by Jonathan Tropper, Variety reported. The film is slated for theaters on July 28, 2028. Levy and Gosling produce with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Stephen Broussard. Executive producers include Richie Palmer and Jessie Henderson, Variety said.

Storrie rose to fame as Ilya on Heated Rivalry and has since booked film roles and an Emmy-nominated Saturday Night Live guest-host turn, Variety reported. EW noted he is also filming Heated Rivalry season two for a planned spring 2027 debut on Crave and HBO Max. Gosling has long said he wanted to play Ghost Rider. Nicolas Cage starred in two earlier standalone films, and Gabriel Luna played Robbie Reyes on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., EW recalled.

Landing a Marvel role would mark another leap for the Texas-born actor who was waiting tables before Heated Rivalry, Variety said. The project was announced at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year with Gosling attached. The Hollywood Reporter was among the first outlets on the casting talks, EW noted. Other recent MCU buzz casts include younger stars joining X-Men and Avengers projects, EW said in the same report.

What we know: Storrie is in talks for a Ghost Rider villain role opposite Gosling in a Levy-directed Marvel film due in 2028.
What we don't: Whether talks close, and which villain character he would play.
