Angel Reese scored 30 points and had 16 rebounds, according to the Chronicle's box score, as the Atlanta Dream beat the Golden State Valkyries 79-65 at Chase Center in San Francisco on Monday, tying the WNBA Finals at 1-1, the San Francisco Chronicle and The San Francisco Standard reported.

Reese made 10 of 16 shots and wasn't slowed by early foul trouble, the Standard reported. Atlanta used its size to draw fouls and made 30 of 35 free throws. The Dream scored 24 points off 19 Golden State turnovers, a big jump for a team that averaged a league-low 10.4 turnovers in the regular season.

It was the Valkyries' first playoff loss at Chase Center, ending a 5-0 home run this postseason, the outlets reported. Golden State shot 34.4% from the field, the Chronicle reported, after shooting 32.1% in a narrow Game 1 win. Its 21 made field goals were a season low, the Standard reported.

The game turned in the third quarter. Golden State held Atlanta without a field goal for the first five minutes of the second half, but the Dream, led by Reese and DeWanna Bonner, ran in transition and won the quarter 21-9, the Standard reported. Jordin Canada's long buzzer-beating 3-pointer gave Atlanta a 14-point lead going into the fourth. Canada finished with 13 points and 10 assists, according to the Chronicle's box score.

Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase was already unhappy with her team's defense after the Game 1 win, the Standard reported. Now she has to fix both ends of the floor.

Game 3 is Wednesday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, the Standard reported. It was first set for Thursday but moved because of a concert at the arena. League and team leaders worked out the change so the game would not be played in the Dream's 3,500-seat regular home gym.

What we know: The Finals are tied 1-1 after Atlanta's 79-65 win in Game 2.
What we don't: Whether Golden State can fix its shooting and turnovers before Game 3.
