Taylor Swift gave "The Fate of Ophelia" its first live performance at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night, Complex and Pitchfork reported.

Swift played four songs: "I Knew It, I Knew You" from "Toy Story 5," "Blank Space," "Love Story" and "The Fate of Ophelia," from her album "The Life of a Showgirl," Complex and Pitchfork reported. Complex reported that backup singers and saxophonists joined her for the "Toy Story 5" song.

Conan O'Brien, who also worked on "Toy Story 5," introduced her. "She's John, Paul, George and Ringo all in one. Taylor Swift," O'Brien said, according to Pitchfork.

On the red carpet, Swift wore a custom pale blue strapless Dior gown by Jonathan Anderson, Complex and People reported. Anderson also designed the Dior dress she wore at her July 3 wedding to Travis Kelce, Complex reported. People said the look evoked Cinderella. Joseph Cassell Falconer styled the look with Aquazzura shoes, Complex reported. Swift later changed into a sparkling cobalt dress for her set, Complex reported.

The show came after Swift released "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore," an expanded edition of the 2025 album with four new songs, Pitchfork and People reported. At the MTV Video Music Awards this month, "The Fate of Ophelia" won video of the year, Pitchfork reported.

The yearly gala raises money for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. This year it honored director John Carpenter and actors Charlize Theron and Colman Domingo, Complex and People reported. Complex reported that the sixth yearly gala marked the museum's fifth anniversary. Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw were co-chairs, Complex reported.

What we know: Swift sang "The Fate of Ophelia" live for the first time at the gala.
