Delta Air Lines is overhauling its top business-class cabin, Delta One, with new menus, drinks, dinnerware and pillows, CNBC and Fortune reported.

The changes will start on long flights from Los Angeles, both outlets reported. CNBC said many of the new items will appear on flights from Los Angeles later this month. Fortune said Goswami, at a preview in New York, put the start in November, with the rest of the network following on March 1.

New menu items include a Wagyu beef burger, roasted sea bass, braised lamb and short rib, Fortune reported. Delta will also serve a Napa wine that sells for more than $200 a bottle and add Blanton's bourbon on Dec. 1.

Champagne will be served over sorbet at dessert, CNBC reported. Delta is also adding new Missoni mini pillows and new dinnerware.

The airline uses 40 Porsches to drive some top flyers right to the plane, CNBC reported. "We realized that the 40 cars that we have weren't enough to meet the demand. So we're moving that fleet to 70," Ranjan Goswami, Delta's chief marketing and product officer, told CNBC. The car service is part of a paid VIP add-on.

New Delta One suites are due to arrive on Delta's Airbus A350-1000 planes starting early next year, Fortune reported.

Premium seats now bring in about as much money for Delta as coach, Fortune reported. In the September quarter, Delta's premium ticket revenue rose 18% to $6.82 billion, while main cabin revenue rose 12% to $6.80 billion.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian said on the airline's Oct. 9 earnings call that the top 40% of U.S. households are "nearly $40 trillion wealthier than they were just a few years ago," Fortune reported.

Delta narrowed about 1,600 wines down to 13 from 11 wineries for the new wine list, Fortune reported.

"I think people are going to love a couple of items, although we hope they don't steal them," Goswami told CNBC.

What we know: Delta One is getting new food, drinks, pillows and dishes, starting on flights from Los Angeles.
What we don't: Whether Delta will raise Delta One fares with the upgrades.
