Usher and Chris Brown have canceled four stadium shows on their R&B Tour, Pollstar and Billboard reported.

The shows were set for M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Oct. 17, Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati on Oct. 24, Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, on Oct. 29, and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Oct. 31. Ticket holders were told about the cancellations by email on Friday.

The tour's promoter said it made "the difficult decision to cancel select upcoming dates on the R&B Tour to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew," Pollstar reported. The statement said the changes would let the rest of the tour go on safely.

The tour will still play MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Thursday, Oct. 15. It will then pause and pick up again in Atlanta on Nov. 5, Billboard reported.

The canceled dates fall around a court date for Brown in Britain. In July, Brown pleaded guilty to affray over a 2023 attack at a London nightclub. Affray is a charge linked to fighting in public. Other charges against him were dropped. He is awaiting sentencing and faces up to three years in prison, Billboard reported.

The tour, promoted by Live Nation, has been a major hit. It earned $280.86 million across 36 shows through Oct. 3, Pollstar reported.

Billboard said it had reached out to representatives for Brown and Usher for comment. Brown's latest album, "Brown," arrived in May and debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart, Billboard reported. Brown must also alert British authorities of his return to the country by Oct. 25.

What we know: Four October shows are canceled, and the tour resumes in Atlanta on Nov. 5.
What we don't: Whether the canceled shows will be rescheduled.
