The top super PAC for Senate Democrats is pulling planned ads from Georgia's Senate race, the Washington Examiner and the Associated Press reported Tuesday. The group is called Senate Majority PAC.

Sen. Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, is facing Republican Rep. Mike Collins in a state President Donald Trump won in 2024.

"Senate Majority PAC will continue to monitor this race closely but has made the decision to remove its week 3 ad spending," the group said in a statement, according to the Washington Examiner. "Senator Ossoff continues to have a competitive lead in the polls," it said.

The group also said that "Mike Collins is floundering and Republicans have all but stopped spending in Georgia," the Washington Examiner reported.

Ossoff has more than $42.5 million in cash on hand. Collins has just over $2 million, the Washington Examiner said. The Associated Press said Ossoff has built a large fundraising edge over Collins.

The Democratic group is now focusing on eight states, including Maine, Michigan, Texas and Ohio, the Associated Press reported. The Washington Examiner said it has also moved money away from North Carolina's Senate race.

Republicans are shifting money too. The top super PAC for Senate Republicans said Tuesday it is behind a $15 million push in Nebraska to protect Sen. Pete Ricketts, the Associated Press reported. That group has also added money in Kansas and South Carolina. It has pulled back from Georgia and North Carolina, the Associated Press said.

Both parties are making their final spending choices in the fight for the Senate, the Associated Press reported.

What we know: Senate Majority PAC has pulled planned Georgia ads and is spending in other states, including several Trump won.
What we don't: How much money the group had planned for Georgia, or whether it could return to the state.
