Brazilian singer Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy held their religious wedding on Saturday at a historic church in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Vogue and Brazil's Gshow reported.

The ceremony took place at the Igreja Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé. Security was tight, Gshow reported. The bride stepped from her car under a huge white cloth set up at the church door to keep her out of sight, as onlookers outside snapped photos. The same church hosted the 1864 wedding of Brazil's Princess Isabel.

The church service capped a weekend of celebrations. A welcome dinner was held Thursday, Gshow reported. On Friday, the couple received a blessing at the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue, both outlets reported. After the ceremony, guests headed to a reception at a historic mansion in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood. Guests seen arriving included Brazilian celebrities Narcisa Tamborindeguy, Any Gabrielly and Enzo Celulari, Gshow reported.

The couple were legally married in March at Conor's family home in Los Angeles, Vogue reported. The Brazil events were meant to bring the two families together and show the American guests Brazilian traditions, Gshow said.

Vogue followed Giulia Be's final fittings with two designers, Calvin Klein and Harris Reed. Her Calvin Klein dress for the blessing was a sleek, '90s-style white slip with long sheer gloves. Harris Reed made a dramatic three-in-one look with a very long veil, a lace cape jacket and a silk gown. "I wanted drama," she told Vogue.

Conor Kennedy, an associate attorney in Los Angeles, is the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the U.S. health secretary, and the late Mary Richardson Kennedy. He is a grandnephew of President John F. Kennedy. His sister Kyra introduced the couple, who traded messages for six months before meeting and began dating in 2022, Vogue reported. He proposed in August 2024.
