Lamar Jackson will miss Sunday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Baltimore Ravens coach Jesse Minter said Friday that the quarterback is out with the left ankle injury he suffered last week, ESPN and the team's website reported.

Jackson hurt the ankle in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans. He sat out the second half and did not practice at all this week. It is his first missed game of the season.

Tyler Huntley will start in his place. The Ravens won both of Huntley's starts last season. "We have a ton of confidence in him to play really well," Minter said. "I think everyone on the team is excited to see that."

The team will also be without outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson, who is still out with a finger injury, the Ravens said. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who has hamstring and calf injuries, returned to practice Friday on a limited basis and is questionable, as is wide receiver Zay Flowers, who has a foot injury. New center Cam Jurgens remains in the concussion protocol and will not debut until next week.

Jackson's absence is a big change for Baltimore. Since 2019, the Ravens are 79-32 with Jackson starting and 6-11 without him, according to ESPN. Jackson leads the league this season in yards per pass attempt, Yahoo Sports reported.

Minter said it is too early to know whether Jackson can play next week against the Cleveland Browns. "He'll be doing everything in his power to get back," Minter said. The Ravens (3-1) and Falcons (2-2) kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday.

What we know: Jackson is out Sunday, and Huntley will start.
What we don't: Whether Jackson returns next week against Cleveland.
