The Milwaukee Brewers were down to their final out on Sunday when Jackson Chourio delivered a game-winning hit in front of a home crowd of more than 41,000.

Chourio lined a two-run single up the middle off Padres closer Mason Miller with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, and Milwaukee beat San Diego 4-3 on Sunday at American Family Field, the Associated Press reported. The Brewers lead the best-of-five NL Division Series 2-0.

Miller entered with a 3-2 lead, attempting a six-out save, and retired the side in order in the eighth. In the ninth, he issued the first postseason walks of his career to Christian Yelich and Sal Frelick, and after Andrew Vaughn flied out, pinch hitter Gary Sanchez walked to load the bases. Miller got ahead of Chourio, but Chourio fought back and hit a 2-2 fastball just past diving second baseman Jake Cronenworth, MLB.com reported.

San Diego scored on two Ty France singles and a fielder's choice. Milwaukee answered on a Frelick single in the fifth and a Cronenworth throwing error in the seventh. Starters Michael King and Logan Henderson each allowed one earned run over five innings, according to the official MLB box score, and reliever Trevor Megill earned the victory.

Backstory: MLB.com said it was only the third walk-off win in Brewers postseason history. Milwaukee also won Game 1 by a 3-2 score on Saturday, and NBC 7 San Diego noted that the Padres had not lost back-to-back games since early September.

What's next: The series moves to Petco Park for Game 3 on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET. San Diego must now win three consecutive elimination games to advance to the National League Championship Series.
